In heimat – eine Reise zum Ankommen, Conny Schmid – an experienced theatre practitioner – and I worked with women from very different walks of life to explore ideas of home, belonging, and identity through dance and theater improvisation. Over the course of ten months, the rehearsal process focused on collaboration, personal storytelling, and movement-based research. Our concluding studio presentation highlighted how performance can build connection, reflection, and community across different life experiences. The project was generously funded by the Kulturreferat Munich. The presentation was kindly hosted by the Pinakothek der Moderne.
