I am a professionally trained dancer and performer, a highly experienced community dance artist and a qualified and registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with substantial clinical practice. My current professional practice involves a wide range of different activities in the areas of art, education and therapy.

I am a highly creative, innovative and versatile individual. All my work is motivated by my passion to inspire educational and therapeutic growth, development and change in others through the means of creative movement and dance. With my enthusiasm, energy and caring nature I am able to create learning environments that are supportive yet challenging. I believe in the transformative capacity of dance enabling individuals to discover themselves and realise their true potential.

I bring a unique set of skills to my work that unites psychotherapeutic expertise with artistic practice. This allows me to gain a profound insight into the learning process of the people I work with and helps me to support them on their journey in a unique way.

Dance Training

At the age of eight I started my journey into dance as a recipient of the Heinz-Bosl Foundation Scholarship on the Diploma Course in Classical Ballet at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Munich. I continued my training in Classical Ballet through the vocational courses of the Royal Academy of Dance as a teenager. I received my training in contemporary dance at Laban as a student of the Professional Diploma in Dance Studies Course.

Community Dance Artist

As a Dance Artist Trainee with Dance United I received extensive on the job training in their unique methodological approach. Over time I progressed to the role of Dance Director and successfully directed projects in London and Winchester. With my expertise in Dance Movement Psychotherapy I played a key role in developing and delivering their ground breaking work in mental health.

Dance Movement Psychotherapy

After my academic studies in Educational Science, Psychology and Theatre Studies at the Ludwig-Maximillians University in Munich I returned to London to train as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist at Goldsmiths, University of London. The completion of my MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy constituted the foundation for the further development of my professional practice.

I am very committed to furthering my professional practice and therefore continue to proactively engage in continuous professional development in the areas of dance technique, teaching skills and psychotherapeutic practice.
